In the book 'The Tourist' be Olen Steinhauer the agency's highly skilled assassins are called tourists. They are all scattered around the world, almost 20 of them. The tourists are suppose to do whatever the command is. They should not ask or even try to find out why the command is given, if they do find out or even make a attempt to find out they surely will get assassinated from the other tourists around the world.
Milo Weaver is one among the tourist that had a mission to make a suicide attempt in Venice on 2001. But he failed the attempt and tried to escape from the violence. But when he was wounded badly he was about to pass out, but when right before he passed out he saw a pregnant women which she was in danger in the middle of the violence. He went on to help her with his last breath used to her and right after she was safe he passed out. Then the agents came on and sent him in a middle of nowhere to heal his wound.
Milo wanders around after his failed attempt and finds time to rest. He changes his name in his passport and travels around for vacation, and then he decides to quit being a tourist and return to a normal-life living person. Then he finds the women to marry which is the women that was pregnant and he saved her in Venice before he passed out. She decides to take her daughter as the child of Milo. Then he gets a normal office desk as his job and lives on until a call from the agency arrived.
